Reverse Polarity Lead (TVS-RPL1)
This lead is designed to go between the hook-up lead and power supply where a reverse polarity supply has been detected.
If the electrical hook-up supply to your vehicle/caravan etc is reversed some electrical equipment (including your consumer unit safety trip switches) may not work. When using a hook-up pillar it is always advisable to check the polarity of the supply first, especially when travelling abroad.
To check the polarity of your power supply use a Polarity Checker
Q & A
Q. What is reverse polarity
A. Reverse polarity is the opposite of normal polarity. Normal polarity in electronics is when you have the positive hooked up to the positive terminal and the negative to the negative terminal. Reverse polarity would be having the positive hooked up to the negative terminal and the negative to the positive terminal.
