TV SIGNAL-FINDER (12V-F2409) |
|
Most TV's now use digital or auto search programme channel tuning and are very good, but in order to maximise, a good TV signal is required. With digital TV, accurate set-up is even more important; aiming the aerial just a few degrees out can result in no picture at all. This will be even more important as the digital TV signal changeover rolls out across the UK.
Most caravan and campers spend lots of frustrating time twisting and turning their directional aerials in an effort to find a good TV signal at their holiday location. Quite often the channels are limited in number and are of poor picture quality, because the aerial is not tuned in accurately enough. At last a simple solution is available - a smart hand-held signal finder. Simply plug into your existing aerial system in your caravan, motor home or boat and with little effort the unit indicates the best direction to point your aerial. All this only takes a few seconds of your time and gives professional results.
The TV Signal Finder has been developed for the leisure market by Fringe Electronics Limited who have over the past 30 years specialised in TV Reception Equipment, Signal Amplification and Signal Distribution, and their products are extensively used throughout the UK and are the No. 1 choice of the professional TV Aerial Installers based on quality and prolonged performance.

Instructions for use:
Fit 9V PP3 battery (supplied) into battery holder within the battery compartment to the rear of the TV signal finder. Connect the aerial lead to the socket marked Aerial. Turn on the power switch, located on the top of the unit, between the two sockets, the red “On” power indicator will light. Rotate the directional aerial, until the greatest number of LED's are lit. This indicates the strongest signal and best position for your aerial. The Finder can now be removed from the aerial lead and connected to your TV equipment. You are now ready to tune your TV to receive the best quality TV signal available in your area.
Alternatively, the TV signal finder may be left connected in line with the TV equipment:
Connect the aerial lead to the socket marked Aerial. Connect a coax lead from the socket marked TV and the TV equipment (not supplied). Turn on the power switch, located on the top of the unit, between the two sockets, the red "On" power indicator will light. Rotate the directional aerial, until the greatest number of LED's are lit. This indicates the strongest signal and best position for your aerial. You are now ready to tune your TV to receive the best quality TV signal available in your area.
Note: the TV signal finder only needs to be switched on whilst signal finding is taking place. Remember to switch off the finder once the best signal has been achieved
